Thanks to a new partnership with GuildMag, we have relaunched and rebranded the PodCast as “The GuildMag PodCast“. This will be a separate outlet as part of the GuildMag network to not only bring the news of both Guild Wars 1 and Guild Wars 2, but to express our personal speculation on various topics.
With all of this, we will be adding a third person to the PodCast with GuildMag’s Izari, who is indeed a gal! She will not be appearing in this first episode since it is the rebranded version of the original PodCast, but she will hopefully be around for the second Episode coming in the future. For those that missed the first launch, I hope you enjoy it and please give us some feed back. Link is below, just click on it and wait for the download, or right click, save as. Enjoy!
GuildMag PodCast Episode 1:

Loved this first episode, delicious speculation. I disagree about the Geomancer, sounds too similar to the Elementalist interacting with the environment. They already said that Conjure Flame could make fiery rocks that people (Warriors) can throw, so why make two Professions when you can just make 4 skills (Earth, Air, Fire, Water) do the same thing as a Geomancer?
I hope they do bring back the Ritualist, or at least give them a major part of the Necro Profession.
can’t say I agree with the geomancer, but the engineer idea is promising. in fact, can’t the profession that dabbles in environmental weapons be the engineer? if anyone stumbles along and picks up a broken piece of wood in a battle, who do you think is more able to do something effective with it? engineer or something else?
I’m excited to hear how this show goes under production beneath the real title. Plus, as it always goes after a pilot, a stronger comfort level between hosts.
For a pilot that’s been through the ringer production-wise, this turned out really well.
Doesnt Predictions = Speculations? I like how you started off your podcast by saying your strickly news (which was pointed out to fit yourself into a nitch which would different or better then the rest) but then in the same tounge say that you will also sharing your predictions. i can’t say that sharing your predictions could be any different then “leaving out any of those speculations”. Just saying.
As far as we discussed, the PodCast will take on the aspects of speculation about the latest news, the GW2 info vids + our own blog will feature the latest news in detail and last but not least, our GuildMag magazine will be bringing you interviews, contests, lore, fiction and a whole lot more.
Whereas the blogs, podcast and GW2 info vids are set to be weekly, the Magazine is bi-monthly with extra editions during the year(mostly set as [latest magazine release #].5
G/day saberwolf and nokia,from the
land down under,Australia I
Listen to your podcast with
Great interest I’ve been
waiting like alot of GW
Players for Gw2 so I took
Interest in what was said
I don’t think it was to long
35-45 minutes is good I
listen to it on the way to
work on the train.
I myself had 15 gw1 characters
On my old account and on
My current account have
10 characters I am likely
To try every combination
And then use the best
Combo that suits my playing
Style I generally play as
Caster I favor elemental
And ranger and Mesmer and necro
I’m basically a support
Character but judging
By your podcast elemenalist
Will have more of a impact
In doing more damage
With different types of weapons
If elementalist goes
Elemental/geomancer does that
Mean if fire elementist
It can still use fire in areas where
There’s no heat or would the
Geomancer skills have to be used
As the others aren’t usable?
