This week in Guild Wars 2

The WvW ranking system still has a way to go, but at least this week’s matchup didn’t have Darkhaven as either the world-spanning colossus or the prostrate victim. From the get-go, we had a fairly solid competition with Northern Shiverpeaks, although we’ve been able to stay ahead of them by a small margin most of the week. (When I checked the most recent standings at MOS this morning, we’d padded our lead overnight.) As a casual player (evenings and weekends only), I don’t spend enough time in WvW to really get comfortable, but it’s still a refreshing change from PvE.
On Thursday night, I had a few odd login issues: when I initially logged in, I had to wait for an email message to confirm my credentials. I don’t have a permanent IP address, but it’s usually stable for weeks at a time, so this is the first time I’d needed to do this since ArenaNet introduced the feature. About an hour later, there was a new build, so after client reset I logged in again — and had to go through the email route to confirm my IP address. I hope this won’t be a regular thing, as email can take a while to get delivered and I don’t want to spend too much of my limited gaming time waiting to confirm my identity over and over again.
In guild chat the other night, one of my fellow guild leaders mentioned his gaudy number of WvW kills. Grey, one of our officers, pointed out that he’d have a similarly impressive number if his deaths-by-falling-off-jumping-puzzles could be included (but I still think I’ve got a higher death rate from falling than Grey does). We then speculated whether there’s a running feed of player death scenes running in the ArenaNet break room…

Official Guild Wars 2 news
- Guild Wars 2 wiki — Game status updates. “This is the current status of the most important issues we’re tracking with Guild Wars 2 live service. (This page is updated by ArenaNet staff and protected against non-admin editing.)” [Raphia: This page on the wiki should be one you bookmark for reference (I'll continue to list it every week).]
- GuildWars2.com — Shadow of the Mad King. “Halloween has a long history in Tyria, and in times past was always marked by the spirit of Mad King Thorn cavorting among the people unleashing his own brand of insanity. However, it’s been over 250 years since he was last seen, and for most people he is merely a figure of folklore. Despite this, rumors persist among the populace that something wicked this way comes. Shadow of the Mad King is the first major game release for Guild Wars 2 and will go live on October 22. This new game update will include a number of new features for all of our players to enjoy, new content to explore and see, and a week-long Halloween event.”
- GuildWars2.com — Concept Artist Spotlight: Naomi Baker. “Q: Can you tell us a little bit about your background before coming to ArenaNet? Naomi: I went to Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, a few years before moving to Los Angeles. There I took classes at Gnomon and Concept Design Academy while working at Activision in Santa Monica — my first gig in the industry.”
- MMORPG.com — Guild Wars 2 News – ArenaNet Programmers Speak to the Challenges of Coding Tyria. “Our own Garrett Fuller was at GDC Online this past week, and spoke with several members of ArenaNet’s programming team for Guild Wars 2, including Cameron Dunn, Studio Technical Director, Braeden Shosa, Gameplay Programming Team Lead, Chad Taylor, Engine Programming Team Lead, and Stephen Clarke-Willson, Server Programming Team Lead.”
- GuildWars2.com — Gems Cards Now Available at Select Retailers! “You can purchase gems in-game from the Black Lion Trading Company, but starting this week you can also purchase Guild Wars 2 gems in real life at select retailers. These cards, which make a great gift, contain a serial code that can be redeemed in Guild Wars 2 for gems.” [Raphia: The list of retailers carrying the cards is on the official Guild Wars 2 Facebook page.]
- Reddit — I am a programmer for Guild Wars 2, AMAA. “We’re doing a group AMAA and we have most of the programming team behind Guild Wars 2 here to answer your questions. This isn’t a marketing exercise, we’re looking for technical questions and we’ll give you technical answers! You’re welcome to ask about anything, although we reserve the right to clam up about anything we consider to be our secret game development sauce. Guild Wars 2 is a big game and its development touched basically every area of game programming – ask us about engines, servers, web, tools, gameplay, you name it.”
- On the official Guild Wars 2 forums, Aidan Taylor posted on the topic Forum and Wiki Maintenance – 20 OCT 7:00 PM PDT: “We will be doing some maintenance on the Guild Wars 2 forums and wikis on October 20th between 7 PM PDT and 11 PM PDT (GMT -7). During this period, the forums and wikis (in all languages) may become inaccessible for short periods. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.”
Recent GuildMag posts
- Shadow of the Mad King. “During the month of october, many of us think about the Mad King Thorn, whom is known to bring fear and wicked humor to Tyria, but for a long time now, he has remained silent. Join Guild Wars 2 players worldwide to celebrate the upcoming Halloween event and check out all of the new content that will be added to the game for maybe, he might one day return to Tyria again.”
- Lala’s Escapades – Pets. “Pets. Can’t live with ‘em, can’t live without ‘em. They’re an integral part of staying alive, even if sometimes they’re the ones actually causing you to die.”
Fan articles and blog posts
- GWOnline.net — Some facts about GW2 skills you might have missed… “So you think you are a Guild Wars 2 pro by now, right? You have your favourite skill rotations programmed into muscle memory, efficiently dispatching foe after foe? But don’t be fooled. The true martial artist doesn’t stop at being an efficient killer… the true martial artist seeks true mastery of his weapons.”
- Millenium Old School [Raphia: This site allows you to report your world's current score in WvW and shows the current matchups and (reported) scores. It also has the last few matchups listed with final scores.]
- Guild Wars 2 Stratics — Arah Farming Guide by DeadlyStormZ. “Hi everyone. I just completed 23 runs of Arah days ago. I have done it with static groups, random people, good folks and bad folks so I want to write a guide which helps people to do Arah. I hope you guys can find it useful.”
- Guild Wars 2 Riches — Guild Wars 2 Guides – Why Even Bother Buying One? “It’s Friday and before I go and enter the land of intoxication I had a memory of conversations me and Craig had a few weeks ago. It was around the whole Guild Wars 2 guide concept and just how pointless it is… I got to Google and began searching around and seeing what utter brilliance there was out there (I’m being very sarcastic, by brilliance I mean crap). I just can’t get my head around the idea why anyone would buy a Guild Wars 2 guide and I’ll break down my reasoning here now…”
- Nerdy Bookahs — Bookahneer’s Geekwatch: Joining Talk Tyria and GuildMag. “Welcome to today’s Bookahneer’s Geekwatch! The place about miscellaneous interesting news related to Guild Wars 2 – and on occasion, other games. As some of you may know, I am occasionally writing for Talk Tyria and GuildMag as well. This Geekwatch isn’t about Guild Wars 2 per se, but about those two fan sites that are both looking for new members to fill various positions.”
- Hunter’s Insight — Anniversary. “I’m 3 days late. The 3 year anniversary of Hunter’s Insight was on the 10th. And to add to that I haven’t blogged much since the game was launched. Part of it is wanting to talk about everything at once and not being able to condense it into a blog sized post. Part of it is that I’d rather be playing the game, I’ve been waiting more than 5 years for this.” [Raphia: Grats on the third year of GW2 blogging, Hunter.]
- Guild Wars 2 Hub — Mystic Misery. “I have two traits in my personality that many people might find amusing. The first is odd numbers; I simply cannot stand them. I had to stop playing Final Fantasy 8 shortly after its release because of the magic draw system and the fact I would obtain random quantities from enemies, that upset my equal figures. The second is randomness and how it infuriates me in video games. I’ve therefore come to the conclusion over the last few days that I hate the Mystic Forge.”
- Kill Ten Rats — Halloween! “ArenaNet’s first hints at the big Guild Wars 2 celebration have dropped out. I hope we get a few more blog posts or interviews next week, but there’s a decent amount of information in the teaser.”
- Dragon Season — It’s been a Hell of a Year. “It’s already been twelve months. Twelve months full of joy, excitement, new people and countless hours of team work. Who could ever imagine that a group of friends with a shared love for video games could achieve so much in so little time?”
- Nerdy Bookahs — Ebonhawke – Screenshot Gallery. “Even though Ebonhawke is not a capital city, it is connected to Divinity’s Reach via portal (in Rurikton, in case you’re wondering). It looks like a city and almost feels like one, but it’s much smaller and filled with a few events and skill challenges even.”
- Hunter’s Insight — Personal Progress. “I suppose I’ll update you all on my personal progress, since I haven’t really touched on it.”
- Guild Wars 2 Hub — Falling Damage Traits in World versus World. “When it comes to structure defense in World versus World, players are given a variety of tools to work with. With only a handful of players on defense, some well-placed siege weapons can make a huge difference against a much larger force. Likewise, upgrading structures can help hold enemy invaders at bay until reinforcements arrive at key locations such as the borderlands garrisons.”
- Gamer n00b — n00b beginnings: n00b gamer. “I have been playing computer games (in various forms) for as long as I can remember. The last game I really dominated was Mario Cart on Super Nintendo (and even then, it was usually a pretty close-run race between me and my Mum). I love puzzle games, point and click adventures, anything with an interesting story, anything fantasy/epic/swords and heroes – and so, you can imagine, I L.O.V.E. MMORPGs.”
- Divinity’s Reach — A Spark on the Horizon. “Halloween marks the first major content patch and features holiday events, jumping puzzles, Black Lion Trading Company additions to the gem store, a new style of PvP tournament, with a boast of new unrelated events, achievements, mini-dungeons. It should become immediately apparent that this addition to the game is not light on content.”
- Guild Wars 2 Hub — The Art of War. “The Art of War is a new semi-regular feature on GW2Hub that looks at World vs. World in Guild Wars 2, from tactics to the current meta game. Our biggest emphasis is on the community, each week we’ll take a reader submitted question and answer it, helping bring some enlightenment to the art of world vs. world.”
- Guild Wars 2 Hub — Dolyak Delivery – 15 October 2012. “First up is a post discussing Commanders and how seeing 9 in a single location (when really they should be in World versus World) is A) Rather annoying and B) Undermines the entire purpose of the Commander title. Personally, I think it’s one big waste of time and money and ArenaNet desperately need to pull their socks up to make grouping for guilds in WvW functional. Provide me with squad functionality to a maximum capacity of 100 and I would be happy. If you have to, make guilds use influence to obtain the perk. As it currently stands however, the party structure in WvW and the use of Commanders simply isn’t fit for purpose and I think ArenaNet could do well in taking a look at Warhammer Online in this area.” [Raphia: I wholeheartedly agree that the WvW Commander mechanism isn't working as well as ArenaNet hoped, and some form of WvW guild-level mechanism would be fantastic.]
- Guild Wars 2 Trading Post — Check Your Deposited Collectibles for Gold. “Have you taken a peak at your deposited collectibles? If not, then you might want to check and see how much gold is sitting in there waiting to be used. Every few days I go through and process what’s in there. If the items won’t sell for a profit on the trading post, then I check to see if the mystic forge will take them.”
- Reddit — absolute MUST have consumables for condition build players & other tips. “Ultimate guide on Food, Nourishments, Feast Trays, Tips on consumption, Prices. NOTE: these consumables are all lvl80, however there are tiers of weaker versions for each consumable from levels 0-80 if you wish to use it as you level up, they are not listed below as there is too many, sorry”
- Hunter’s Insight — Shadow of the Mad King. “Halloween is coming to Guild Wars 2. It was always a fan favourite in Guild Wars. Quests that dragged you through the country side with a Tyrian flavoured Halloween theme. Decorations in two major cities with a few laughs to be had. Consumable items that dropped from mobs or trade in NPCs that gave out a choice of those items.”
- Kill Ten Rats — Fair to Middling (Double Down II). “The middle zones always seem to be the red-headed step child of MMO content. Is it a function of population distribution extremes? Is it that in the case of Guild Wars 2 there are so many leveling paths to take? Is it that veteran players simply have no reason to be there except for friendship or exploration points?”
- Massively — Flameseeker Chronicles: Forging your Guild Wars 2 legend(ary weapon). “The ArenaNet developers weren’t messing around when they plotted out the process of obtaining the most prestigious weapons in Guild Wars 2. Legendary weapons require a considerable expenditure of in-game time, items, and gold. A month and a half after launch, legendaries are starting to pop up here and there, but they’re by no means common. We haven’t even seen all of them unlocked yet as far as I know.”
- Twitter — John Ryan. “We need to merge weaponsmith and chef at some point in #guildwars2. I want to make a ghost pepper rifle. #ohthepain!”
- GameShogun — How-To Play Guild Wars 2 on Linux. “Mac gamers are not the ones “often ignored by game developers”, it’s Linux gamers. I’m sure you can name a couple of games with official Mac client and support from game developers and/or publishers, even if you’re not a Mac user. But you will hardly find any official GNU/Linux client and support for these games.”
- Kill Ten Rats — Lottery Win. “I open those blue bottles filled with a rainbow assortment of dyes. The unidentified dyes are slowly coming down in price as more people are getting the colors they want, but the rarest dyes are still worth quite a bit. I open my bottles because it’s a fun gamble. It’s like earning a scratcher’s ticket. Sure, I could sell it off for a few silver, but where’s the fun in that. Plus, I like filling out my dyes.”
- Kotaku — In A World Full of Fantastic Fictions to Try, Guild Wars 2 Players Remain Fixated On Humans. “Guild Wars, the first game, didn’t offer a whole array of character races for players to choose from. Players were always human, even while free to play with variations on appearance. And it seems that Guild Wars players who got used to their looks have brought that bias with them into Guild Wars 2.” [Raphia: I don't know why this meme suddenly popped up this week (several sites had variations on the idea). The game gives you five races to choose from, and people choose freely. Are players supposed to be wrong for freely choosing disproportionally one race over the others?]
- Random Diversions — Guild Wars 2 – The Thrill Is Gone. “I really want to love this game, but these days it’s getting harder and harder. When the game launched at the end of August, I was very exited by the prospect of dynamic events. Instead of dealing with the typical quest-giver model, dynamic events pop up across the map as you travel about, providing opportunities for interaction and combat. What’s more, as events succeed or fail based on player action, the world shifts and changes as a result (within certain limits of course). Therein lies the problem.”
- Gamebreaker.tv — Top Five Guild Wars 2 Activities To Cure The Max Level Blues. “Some single player roleplaying games have a level cap that your character(s) can achieve. Reaching this limit of progression does not, however, signify the end of the game. There’s still the main storyline to complete, the world to explore, and the achievements to earn. It’s interesting that in MMOs attaining maximum level has a different connotation and set of expectations. There’s been ample chattering regarding the lack of a true endgame in Guild Wars 2 and equal amounts of response to the contrary. Most of this controversy stems from the lack of raiding and gear progression at level 80. No matter how much ArenaNet points to their design manifesto or haters rail against it, the truth is that the enjoyment of the Guild Wars 2 endgame experience is determined by an individual’s preference and what they make of it.”
- Guild Wars 2 Hub — The Thief’s Guide to Bleeding. “The thief is capable of dishing out tons of damage, but as a tradeoff they aren’t as hardy as other professions in Guild Wars 2. What this means is that they need to drop their foes as quickly as possible. While you can certainly take the glass cannon approach and focus on backstabbing as the cornerstone of your build, an alternative method for quick disposal of enemies is through inflicting condition damage. In particular, today we’ll be taking a closer look at one specific condition, Bleeding.”
- Guild Wars 2 Trading Post — Selling Level 80 Rare Weapons. “I’m currently working on selling thirty-five level 80 rare weapons. This was out of around 60 buy orders that I had placed the night before. Hopefully by the time you’re reading this, I have already sold most of them to double my investment. In total I spent 6 gold, and should get back around 12.”
- Guild Wars 2 Riches — What’s The Recipe For Success? “Theoretically there are ways to make money by crafting but some market prices aren’t very supportive of this ambition. In fact, today while browsing the market something struck me: Vanilla Beans should be exotic.”
- Under the Pale Tree — Dungeon Delving. “Dungeons are one of those aspects of Guild Wars 2 that I didn’t expect that I’d really ever do much of, primarily because I didn’t think I’d ever really have a group of people to regularly play with and I’m not a fan of PUGs, that I’ve found that I actually do a lot of. Especially now that I’ve been level 80 for some time.”
- Reddit — Post-nerf Cooking Guide. “This does not use Vanilla Beans, any Leaves, no Cloves or random spices either.”
- TalkTyria.net — Guild Wars 2 Armor Guide – Basic Naming Conventions & Runes. “Gear comes in six quality tiers (or, rarity as they are referred to in game): basic (white), fine (blue), masterwork (green), rare (gold), exotic (orange), and legendary (red, which is currently limited to weapons). The higher the rarity, the better the gear generally is. Each quality tier is present at different level spans. Basic is 1+, fine 5+, masterwork 14+, rare 35+, exotic 62+, and legendary is 80+. The number of primary attributes depends on the level span. One attribute for levels 1-20, two for 21-60, and three for 61+.”
- Guild Wars 2 Forums — Potionmaking: How to level Artificer 1-400. “I have found an awesome way to get to level 400 Artificer, where for 1-375 all you do is make potions. It is pretty cheap to do because you can avoid all fine crafting materials, and one of the biggest benefits is that you can merch these items (especially the tuning crystals) to make your money back. The reason this works is because the exp you get for crafting a potion is similar to crafting a weapon, and it turns out to be a lot less expensive than the weapon crafting guides floating around.”
- Reddit — Cooking Guide 2.0: No karma ingredients, fast and (relatively) cheap. “To be clear, since I can’t change the title and some people complained, it’s technically not “No karma”, it’s “no expensive karma items from renown heart NPCs in high level zones” but that seemed a bit wordy. 110 karma is required and is used at the cooking merchant in town.” [Raphia: H/T to Guild Wars 2 Stratics for this and the previous link.]
- TdotComics — Guild Wars 2. Or, how I learned to love MMOs again. “With Guild Wars 2, ArenaNet took the conventions of the MMO genre and thought “Well, this should really be fun all the time.” What we have is an artistically gorgeous game, backed up once again with a grand dramatic score by Jeremy Soule. While it’s still a bit unpolished, Guild Wars 2 represents a revolution in an increasingly unstable and stagnant genre, the likes of which compare each and every entry to an MMO over seven years old.”
- Kill Ten Rats — Sunk Costs (Double Down III). “While ArenaNet was shifting towards Guild Wars 2 production, they created a new rewards system based on re-using content. Obviously they were aware that any Live Team would not have the resources of a new zone, or the like, and so the Zaishen content was created bringing new life to old content. For Guild Wars 1, this was possibly the only option.”
- Time — Something Wicked Coming to Guild Wars 2 on October 22. “It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and no, I don’t mean Christmas — I’m talking about Halloween, my friends, because trees that look like Fruity Pebbles and candy corn M&Ms and cool, blustery days are what it’s all about. What better way to celebrate than with a harvest-moon-and-trick-or-treat themed Guild Wars 2 content update?”
- Guild Wars 2 Hub — Black Lion Underground – 18 October 2012. “In the last Black Lion Underground I finished on around 24g having set out to test the limits of the Mystic Forge, armed with 3g and a stack of Major Runes (in the hopes of obtaining Superiors). What I will say now, is that it really isn’t worth your time. It’s quicker, easier and much more cost efficient to simply buy the Runes you need rather than playing roulette.”
- Chronicles of Tyria — Ascalon and Charr history. “Welcome back adventurers! While running around Tyria, you may have stumbled upon a few of these slabs. Mainly floating above fires or randomly scattered around the world in Durmand Priory carts. Those slabs were highly damaged through time which renders the translation of the whole text impossible.”
- Guild Wars 2 Riches — Investing in Crafting Materials. “There are a few trends that are worth keeping an eye on at the moment. One of my favourites involves crafting materials.”
- Attached to Keyboard — Power vs Precision. “After the post I made last week about gear and attributes in Guild Wars 2, I got not only a great response which I’m truly grateful for, but also had a number of really good questions and discussions with a number of friends and players. This post is the outcome of one of those discussions about the pros and cons of stacking Power over Precision. There’ll be another later about Toughness vs Vitality.”
- Kill Ten Rats — Unbalanced. “How are your server’s WvW match-ups? Ours have been dramatically one-sided, with one server wiping the floor with the other two. This week, we are the victors; last week, a different server held 75% of the map consistently. I am told that one of our competing servers had an exodus last weekend, with a major guild or seven leaving Eredon Terrace. (There are stories about what happened, but never trust Us when they tell you what is wrong with Them.) Numbers disparities are hard to overcome, and once your server is losing that badly, people stop trying. You cannot build the momentum to get past your own gates, while people flock to the winning team. The winning server has a long queue for WvW and your WvW team is half-full at best.”
- Guild Wars 2 Riches — Holiday Event Speculation. “My favourite topic of the past ~10 hours. Halloween event market speculation! I hope most of you caught the announcement (if not, here it is) but one of the most important pieces of information contained there is this tidbit”
- Guild Wars 2 Machinima — Swimming in GW2: Long Walks Off Short Piers. “I am often stunned by the sheer level of detail that went into the design and implementation of Guild Wars 2. Yes, I love questing, but when I don’t have the time or just want to do something relaxing, there’s so much more to do in Tyria. One of my favorite GW2 pastimes is swimming (no jokes about the natural buoyancy of sylvari, please…).”

For your viewing pleasure I went for a quick tour of the three dragons you can encounter in Guild Wars 2. Now you do have a 4th dragon Zhaitan but he can only be faced inside of the last dungeon.”

Fanfic
- Foundation — Ayroh : Chapter 23 ~ Against The World. “Their lines were buckling. They were unprepared for a fight of this caliber; the flame legion had simply expected to show up and let their shaman claim victory for them.”
- Foundation — Ayroh : Chapter 24 ~ Foundation. “I made sure to check Emberclaw’s body. I found his journal in his satchel, as well as a few bags nearby with all of his personal effects.”
- Foundation — Blood of the Sun : Chapter 1. “Across the expanse of this land, his eyes explored. Like ancient lovers finding each other after ages apart, he had longed to be home for longer than he knew.”
- Chronicles of Tyria — Some Self-Reflection and NaNoWriMo. “On Eilidh’s Diary first, I have a couple of issues with it. The first is simply that my excitement surrounding Guild Wars 2 has significantly cooled off. I have not entirely exhausted the game of all the many things to do in it, but I have reached a point where I have things to “work on” – such as crafting and map completion – rather than things to “play through”. When I do play, I’m in it for achievement-hunting and other ‘tasks’ – the dailies don’t help this mentality either – rather than for the fun of it per se.”
- Chronicles of Tyria — The Long Road Ahead, Part Two. “We ate a light breakfast and set off on our own way soon after the asura. I felt bad at first, leaving the burned houses of Cathal behind and hearing of the damage at Falias Thorp, but it did not make sense to linger, or take Caelan closer to the Nightmare Court bases hidden throughout …”
- Foundation — Dusk to Dawn: Act 1, Chapter 3. “The massive architectural wonder that was the last human stronghold loomed in the background of Shaemoor gloomily accented with low hanging gray clouds. Dhalik had heard the stories of Ascalon City and wondered if it looked just like this city did now, with the stifled flames of lanterns replaced with the eerily cerulean aura of undying Ascalonian ghosts. In any case, this city looked like a dark fortress housing the restless spirits of those trapped in fleshy cages.”
- Foundation — Dusk to Dawn: Act 1, Chapter 4. “A blonde haired and fair skinned Ascalonian girl reached into her pouch slung around her shoulder. She was happy to find that she had enough coin and gave it to the lady behind the booth, trading them for a carnival apple. She took a big bite and was pleased with how juicy her purchase was. Her attention returned to her friend and she continued her chastising.”
- Foundation — Dusk to Dawn: Act 1, Chapter 5. “The day faded in the distance, golden sunlight replaced by the wine colored plume of evening sky. Slowly, but surely, flickering lanterns illuminated the space between Tyria and the beyond.”
Community Events
- Gaming World Entertainment Network (GWEN) — Pink Day in LA. “It’s time to save the date! Make a note on your calender, in your diary, set your phone reminders, put a note of the fridge, pin a note to your cat…actually don’t do that last one that would be bad! The point is Pink Day in LA is returning once again and this year it will be on October 20th 2012 along side the Extra Life charity event.”
- GW2Guru — Pink Day in LA 2012. “Hello Everyone! It is that wonderful time of year again when we gather together ingame and get in touch with our Pink Sides! (For a great cause!) However — we can’t forget where Pink Day began and that is in the Guild Wars community.”
- Gaming World Entertainment Network — Extra Life. “On October 20th 2012 gamers all over the globe will be playing their favourite games non stop for 24 hours! This might just sound like a hardcore gaming weekend for some of you but there is a bigger purpose to it this time!”
- Gaming World Entertainment Network — Paint The Game Pink! “Calling all digital fashionistas, artists, creative types and gamers. We have a challenge for you! As you can see Gamers Giving Back has gone pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We’ve picked our finest shades and we are now strutting our stuff on the digital runway like a majestic flamingo. Yes, we have just claimed a website can strut and be a flamingo simultaneously because that’s just how we do it.”
This section is intended to help you to publicize your guild or alliance event, and as long as your event is open to the whole Guild Wars/Guild Wars 2 community, we’ll list it here. Send us the details at community@guildmag.com and we’ll get it out to the fan community (given that we only do a weekly wrap-up, try to send the information at least a week in advance).
