What a start to 2014! For the past week and a half, GuildMag has been offline, but we’re now back and ready to carry on from where we left off!
We’d like to take this opportunity to explain what’s been happening, and also share with you what our plans are for this year. On the 16th of January, our account was suspended by our hosting provider, on the grounds of using too many of their server’s resources. We were given no prior warning, and were locked out of everything. It took more than a week before we were finally able to resolve the situation by being given access to our website once again in order to make back-ups of every file, after which we moved to a new provider. Fortunately, we’re now happily relocated and ready to get back to producing content!
Going forward, we’ll be introducing a small number of adverts across the website in order to help fund our new hosting costs. Mondiger, a small Dutch company that helps other people with computer issues as well as setting up small-scale websites, has been kind enough to financially support us for the next year, which will become especially useful as we move closer to unveiling the new project we’ve been working on behind the scenes.
Finally, we’d like to say thank you for sticking with us during this time. Issue 10 of our magazine will be released within the next few weeks, so be sure to check back regularly – it’s going to be one of our biggest issues yet!
